        Steve's Tips For Happier Living

Here are some simple tips for creating a  better mindset. These tips are tried and tested and will improve your mental  well being if applied.

1. Don't believe everything you read in  the   news! The major news companies  know   that   Bad news sells, and if your not   careful  you  can get brain washed into   thinking that the  world is full of muggers,  rapists, and  murderers. Life is what you   BELIEVE it to be.

2. Beware of seriousitis, its a disease   that's   affecting a lot of people making   them  grumpy, cantankerous, and   thoroughly  miserable. People suffering   from   seriousitis  seem to moan a lot, if its   not footballers  wages, kids of today, the   health service, the  price of bread, or the   whole world its  something else! Be wary,  book a holiday to  Disney land and be a  big   kid again. Don't  take life so seriously.

3. Why is it whenever people survive an ordeal whether it be                                    cancer, plane crash or  something similar they have a greater appreciation of life? Suddenly they notice the birds in the trees, the beautiful sunset at night, the smell of a rose as they come to realize how precious life is and how much a gift our, being Human is. When they thought they were losing it, it was as if every thing was put in perspective, the miracle of life.

I believe that we are truly privileged to be who we are and should live every day as if it were our last. You don't have to go through a traumatic ordeal to appreciate life, you can do it now. Stop moaning about how life is so better for other (Lucky) people and not you and remember those people who are less fortunate than ourselves, there'd love to live like us. If we only have one life on this earth, and as far as we know we do lets make the best of it!

4. Make health your priority, look after your self, exercise, eat well, stay young and  develop a thirst for knowledge. Don't buy into that as you get older things get harder  to  learn rubbish! Your brain is like a muscle it needs to be exercised with new varied   bits of information not what's happening in Eastenders. When the brain isn't used  enough it gets bored and will create problems to give you a bit of Drama.

5. Create a mission statement write it down, about what your goal/s are for your life. What moves you? What inspires you? What is your true purpose in this world anyway?  How do you want to be remembered when your gone? Find your passion!! Look forward  to new challenges and be curious about them, get exited about them and enjoy  learning about yourself How good can I be, how far can I take myself ?. Delete the  words CANT or but what if from your vocabulary.

The Principles of Self Confidence: By Steve Norton

Here below are the 6 universal steps that are used by confident people the world over, and therefore must be used by yourself if more confidence is your goal.

1. Remember confidence is a STATE of body and mind. Use the posture or physiology of confidence. Stand or sit that way, breathe that way, talk that way, look that way, do it consistently. When you do this your body sends a message to your nervous system which tells your brain I'M CONFIDENT! When ever your not feeling very confident notice your posture and voice tone I bet its not good. Change it into your position of Confidence.

2. See mistakes as learning experiences, or opportunities to learn. Say What can I learn from this when things don't work out how you want them to. Mistakes are the stepping stones to your eventual success!

3. Stop letting your mind poison you!! Don't just listen to that negative chatter belittle you, tell it to SHUT UP! You're the boss, tell it loud and clear its opinion is bulls#@t. Tell your self you are super confident.

4. Visualize positive outcomes on a daily basis, let your mind see what you want to happen, rather than dreaming up totally ridiculous negative consequences that will never happen! Use mental rehearsal for anything you want to improve upon, see yourself performing in the way you would want to behave. (this programmes your mind). N.B: This technique is very powerful.

5. Lighten up, loosen up, and cut your self some slack (stop being so bloody serious and ENJOY YOURSELF!) Remember your not perfect nobody is, see problems as challenges to conquer. Stop mind reading you don't know what they're thinking about you. Learn to value yourself!

6. Look forward to new challenges and be curious about them, get exited about them and enjoy learning about yourself How good can I be, how far can I take myself? Delete the words CAN'T or but what if from your vocabulary.

No ifs or buts these 6 simple steps or principles, when used as your daily thinking your confidence and life will improve massively. Don't analyze them just DO THEM!
